A Pleasant Thursday Afternoon Reverie

Wouldn’t it be nice

if the coming storm

began at the west edge of our yard and blew

all the tired green leaves

it strips from our trees

out our yard and into the park for the city

to gather and discard

and wouldn’t it be nice

if Prima Donald resigned and moved to Russia
