Green bean casserole

Green bean casserole tastes of home,

family holidays and traditions

as old or older than you.

Recipe:

two cups green beans

one can mushroom soup

1/2 cup condensed milk

1/2 can fried onions

stir until well-mixed

pour into Grandma’s old Pyrex casserole dish

cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes

or until all the water is cooked out and the mushroom goop

is the consistency of half dried Elmer’s Glue

sprinkle the other 1/2 can of fried onions on top

so it has some crunch and texture

that reminds you of food

At family gatherings spoon a pile on your plate,

because it tastes like home and traditions

as old or older than you
