Paper Nest Hornets 2022

Five paper nest hornets are building overhead, again

Unconcerned how nervous and scared

it makes the man on the porch feel.

Soon it may be too unsafe outside

And he and his husband will be

forced back inside, because

outside will be unsafe

Forced to sit on the other side of the pane

looking through a crack in the curtains,

naming the hornets

Amy, Clarence, Sam, Brett and Neil.
