spring approaches

weeds will be the first to green

decorate perimeters we do not walk or crush underfoot

hoist tiny blooms we haven’t domesticated…yet

I much prefer subtle shades

pastel pink, yellows and blues

gentle beauty makes no demands

that I acknowledge its existence
