An urban sun does not smudge lipstick
On the collar of the sky
Leave glitter on shouldered landscapes
It wakes under bushes in the park
Bathes like Bathsheba on the roof
Slides down a flagpole in the school yard
Struts on Main Street
Glistens sweaty on front stoops at midday
Towards evening it disappears around a corner
Scales a high rise on the hill
Perches on the bank sign
Leaps into the air and is gone
