Stale wonder bread

a whirlwind descended from clouds,

gathered up the geese and all their babies,

carried them up to where I do not know.

Geese lovers prayed for a miracle,

dumped offerings along the shore,

Wonder Bread grew into a mighty mountain.

Wild hogs came, feasted

on the mountain, trampled

neighbors’ yards and chased kids up trees.

Fess Parker came with his rifle

and old yeller dog,

and chased the hogs away.

Children climbed down from trees,

music played in the background,

and grown men cried.

The whirlwind returned geese to the pond,

geese lovers threw bread upon the water,

and sang end time hallelujahs and hosannas.
