Monday morning
I feel anything is possible
I have an entire week ahead of me
filled with goals and tasks

the New Yorker magazine comes
With new poems and essays to enjoy
subtle cartoons to ponder
Monday morning
I haven’t made a mistake all week
But if I don’t put down my New Yorker
it will soon be Monday evening
