sit fried in a bowl on the table

Harvested from ball sacks of calves with

no anesthesia (they say it doesn’t hurt much)

In the distance, crows fly in and out of a wood lot

to harass an owl until it dies from lack of sleep

Owls may steal and eat a chicken or two

so let the crows have their fun

Funny how a human will watch another animal die

so they can be the one to do the killing

And still cry for the dumb dog that gets killed
